How to Appear Offline to Friends in Splatoon 2
Sorry, splatoon 2 doesn't have an "appear offline" feature, but you can set your Nintendo Switch profile to "appear offline." Just go to the home menu, select your profile picture, then "User Settings," and finally "Friend Settings" to switch your online status. It won't stop invites, but hey, at least you're incognito!

In my experience, I just change my Nintendo profile to 'appear offline.' Works like a charm even if Splatoon 2 itself doesn't support it directly!
