How to Apply Thermal Paste to Xbox 360
ReroutingTopaz·5 months agoSimple! Clean the old stuff with alcohol, then plop a small pea-sized dab of new thermal paste on the CPU and GPU. Reassemble and you’re ready to game again!

Just a heads-up from personal experience: less is more. Too much paste can cause overheating. Small pea-sized glob in the middle, and you're golden!
First, make sure to disassemble your Xbox 360 and clean off any old thermal paste from the GPU and CPU using isopropyl alcohol. Then, apply a pea-sized amount of thermal paste directly on the center of each chip. Spread it evenly, if desired, or let the heatsink do the work when you reassemble the system. Voila!
You don't actually need to spread the thermal paste; the pressure from the heatsink will do the job. Just apply a small dot and reassemble.
