How to assign a house in Terraria

Super simple! First, make sure your house meets Terraria's requirements (walls, a door, light source, table, and a chair at least). Then, open your inventory, click the house icon on the right to open the housing menu. Click on the '?' to see if it's suitable. If it is, just click on the portrait of the NPC you wanna move in and then click on the house. Voila, you've assigned a house!
