From your inventory, find the weapon you want to assign, then use the quick slots or favorites menu to group it. Simple as that!

Honestly, why bother? Just stick to your best weapon and use it. Problem solved!
Just drag and drop your weapons onto the quick bar slots at the bottom of the screen when in inventory. Should do the trick!
