Assigning artillery in Fallout 4 is like giving the green light for big booms! First, you gotta complete the 'Old Guns' quest which gets you access to artillery pieces. Then, head over to your workshop, select a settler (look for someone who's just chilling and not already on a job), and click on the artillery piece to assign them. Quick tip: Artillery needs to be within the range of your target. If it ain't working, you might be too far away. Keep it close, keep it explosive!
Artillery? Overrated. Stealth and sniping, that's the real game. Why alert the whole Commonwealth when you can take 'em out quietly?
Honestly, just spam the artillery smoke grenades once you've assigned a settler. If it moves, it gets the boom. If it doesn't, give it the boom anyway.
