How to attach wires in Fallout 4
Attaching wires in Fallout 4 is pretty straightforward. First, make sure you're in workshop mode. Then, you'll need a power source and an object that requires power. Aim at the power source, press the button to start laying a wire (it varies depending on your platform, so check your controls), then connect it to the object needing power. Remember, wires need to reach the object within a certain distance and you'll need enough copper to make it happen.

Just open workshop mode and point at your generator. There should be an option to press a button to attach a wire, then just click on whatever you wanna power up. Make sure you got enough copper, or you'll be running to the nearest vendor faster than you can say 'Deathclaw'!
Too long; didn't read? Enter workshop, click generator, press attach wire, click target. Bam, you've got power!
Honestly, just slap down a generator, go into workshop mode, and mash buttons until something connects. Works every time for me.
