Backing up a game on Steam is super easy! Just open your Steam client and go to your Library. Right-click on the game you want to backup and select 'Backup Game Files...' from the dropdown menu. Then choose where you want to save the files, and voilà, you're all set!

I backed up my entire Steam library when I got a new PC. The official steam method took a while but felt like the safest option to not lose any game data. Totally worth it if you're switching computers or just want that extra peace of mind.

Just drag the game folder to a backup drive. Quick and dirty. Works for me everytime.

Honestly, I think cloud saves have made backing up games kinda obsolete. Most games automatically save your progress online, so you don't really need to backup locally anymore.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
