For iPhone users, make sure you have iCloud enabled. For Android users, back up to Google Drive. Restoring is just as simple: reinstall, verify, restore.

Don’t overcomplicate it. Backup in settings, restore when you reinstall.

Had to do this myself recently! Android user here – I backed up to Google Drive, reinstalled WhatsApp, and hit the restore option. Worked like a charm!

To back up WhatsApp: Open WhatsApp, go to Settings > Chats > Chat Backup, and tap 'Back Up Now.' To restore: Simply reinstall WhatsApp, verify your number, and follow the prompt to restore from your backup. Easy-peasy!
