Ugh, don't even get me started. It should be automatic, but no, you need to get Nintendo Switch Online first. Then jump through some hoops in system settings. Data management, then save data cloud, and finally, pick Animal Crossing. It's like they don't want us to keep our islands safe.

Just subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online, folks. That's the ticket to cloud backups for not just ACNH but most of your games. Easy peasy.

Backing up your Animal Crossing game to the cloud is pretty simple! Just make sure you have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Then, on your Nintendo Switch, go to System Settings > Data Management > Save Data Cloud. Select Animal Crossing from the list and choose the option to back up save data. Voila, your island is safe in the clouds!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
