Grab 'file0', 'file8', and 'undertale.ini' from the Undertale save directory and stash them somewhere secure. That's it!
Easy peasy! Just copy the 'undertale.ini' and 'file0' files from the Undertale folder in your Steam directory and paste them somewhere safe.
On my PC, I just go to 'C:/Users/[YourUsername]/AppData/Local/UNDERTALE', grab 'file0', 'file8', and 'undertale.ini', and save them somewhere else. Works like a charm!
Hot take: Just let the game autosave and roll with it. If you mess up, it's part of the charm!
