In Splatoon 3, to play as an Octoling, you need to complete the Octo Expansion in Splatoon 2. Once you finish it, you get a playable Octoling in Splatoon 3! If you didn't play Splatoon 2, don't worry; in Splatoon 3, you can choose your species right from the start, Inling or Octoling, during character creation. Enjoy your inky adventures!
