Study Art in university, and after graduation, look for a job as a Painter under the Jobs section. Just keep painting, and you'll eventually become the next Van Gogh (minus the ear issues)!

If you really want to be a painter, make sure your character keeps practicing their art skills while in school and opts for Art-related activities. After high school, go to university for Art, then snag a job as a Painter. Boom, you're on your way to art stardom!
Just keep drawing! Skip college and go straight to the Jobs section; sometimes you can find a Painter job there without the degree. Luck and a high School level Art education can get you there!
