You can't officially become a cop in GTA 5 Online like in the LSPDFR mod for the single-player. However, snagging a police car and role-playing as a cop in certain lobbies can get you a slice of the action.

Honestly, just grab a police cruiser, throw on the siren, and you're as close as you can get to being a cop in GTA 5 Online. Not perfect, but hey, it's something!
