How to be a police officer in GTA 5 PS3?
Actually, there's a way to get closer to the experience of being a police officer in GTA 5, albeit not officially. Mods! If you're playing on PC, there are mods like LSPDFR that allow you to take on the role of law enforcement, responding to crimes and patrolling the streets. Sadly, for PS3, you're out of luck for an authentic cop experience. Your best bet is to role-play by stealing a police vehicle and chasing down bad guys on your own terms.

Nope, you can't be a police officer in GTA 5. There's no badge for you, buddy. Best you can do is pretend by stealing a cop car. Just remember, it's all make-believe.
You can't officially become a police officer through the regular gameplay or any career mode in GTA 5. However, you can kinda role-play as one by stealing a police car and then doing vigilante missions which are kinda like cop work. Just hop into any cop car and start responding to crimes in progress which pop up as blips on your mini-map. It's not the real deal, but hey, it's close enough when you're itching for that cop life in Los Santos!
