Sorry to burst your bubble, but in Animal Crossing, you can't actually become one of the furry or feathered villagers. You're always the human in a world full of adorable animal friends. But hey, dressing up in animal costumes is totally a thing. Nook's Cranny and the Able Sisters' shop got you covered with all sorts of animal outfits and masks. It’s like being an animal, just with more steps and less fur!

I once tried to blend in with my animal neighbors by wearing a full cat costume for a month straight. While I couldn't become an actual cat, I definitely felt like part of the crew. Plus, receiving compliments from my villagers on my 'style' was a highlight. Being an animal is a state of mind, my friend.

Nope, you can't be an actual animal in Animal Crossing. You're human and that's that. But dressing up is fair game. Animal hats, anyone?

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
