To play as Mario in Super Mario 64 DS, start the game and complete the first level as Yoshi. Then, unlock Mario by defeating Goomboss in the Big Boo’s Haunt level. Simple as that!
Just start the game and look for the Mario hat after the first couple levels. Beat the boss, and bam! You’re Mario.
You start as Yoshi, but you can unlock Mario early on. Find the Mario hat in Big Boo's Haunt, beat Goomboss, and then you can switch to Mario.
