As of now, Sonic Frontiers doesn't let you play as Shadow. It's all about Sonic speeding through the Starfall Islands! Fingers crossed he makes an appearance in future updates or DLCs!

Shadow's not in Sonic Frontiers as a playable character, so you'll have to stick with Sonic's blue blur for now.

Even with the many characters in the Sonic universe, Sonic Frontiers focuses on Sonic, not Shadow. Maybe in a DLC if we're lucky!
