Play the mercy route! Pet Dogressa and Dogamy repeatedly until their names turn yellow. They just need some affection to chill out. Easy peasy!

To beat Dogressa, you actually don't have to fight! Just use the 'Act' menu to 'Pet' Dogressa and then 'Pet' Dogamy. Keep doing that until they spare you. Who knew dogs just wanted some love?
