How to Beat the Martian Saucer in Terraria
Just cheese it with the nurse. Seriously. Keep her in a house near your arena, slap on a Solar Eruption or something that can hit through walls, and whenever you're low, just teleport home, heal, and get back into the fight. Yeah, it feels cheap, but hey, a win's a win.

Duck and cover isn't just good advice for avoiding the draft, it's primo strategy for the Martian Saucer. Build a box to hide in, leave some gaps to shoot through, and keep your head down when that laser comes out to play.
Oh, the Martian Saucer! That big, bad UFO. First off, make sure you've got good gear, like the Beetle or Shroomite armor. Weapons? The more DPS, the better - think Megashark or Terra Blade. For the actual fight, build yourself a solid roof to hide under; this blocks the Saucer's death ray. Then, poke holes to shoot through and keep moving to dodge its other attacks. Also, minions and sentries help a lot to deal extra damage. Good luck!
