First off, don't forget Cabbage-pults! They're your best friends on the roof since they can lob cabbages over the roof's angle. Pair them with Kernel-pults for slowing zombies with butter. Also, Tall-nuts are crucial for blocking Bungee Zombies and Ladder Zombies. Make sure to save some sun for Cherry Bombs or Jalapenos to quickly deal with emergencies like a sudden wave or tough zombies.
Keep trying different strategies till one sticks. Experimenting is key!
Use magnets!! Those pesky metal-wearing zombies get stripped off their ladders and pogo sticks, making it WAY easier to mow them down. Also, I've found that planting two columns of Cabbage-pults as my main damage dealers works like a charm. And don't sleep on Melon-pults for that splash damage goodness; they're expensive but worth it. Good luck!
