A simple strategy? Just hit him really hard and really fast, lol. But for real, keep an eye on the real Cultist during the ritual phase. The fake ones do a different attack. If you mess up, prepare for a tougher fight.

First off, gear up with the best armor and weapons you can craft or find. Weapons with high ranged damage work wonders. Use a homing weapon if you can, because the Lunatic Cultist moves a lot. When the Cultist spawns duplicates, aim for the one with slightly different attacks - hitting the wrong one will summon more enemies. Also, keep moving; the Cultist's attacks are easier to dodge if you're not standing still.

Honestly, just bring a friend. Makes it way easier to keep track of the real Cultist and deal damage. Plus, multiplayer fun!
