Honestly, it's mostly about getting good grades and then applying for the cadet position repeatedly until you get it. No need for a degree, just patience.
I just applied right after high school and got lucky! Didn't even need the college degree. So keep trying if it doesn't work at first!
First, you need to get through high school with decent grades. Then apply for a job as a cadet or enroll in a criminal justice degree. After that, apply for the police officer position. Be prepared for a few retries!
