You can't officially become an Elder in Fallout 4 because that's a specific title within the Brotherhood of Steel and the game doesn't allow you to rise to that rank through its storyline or quest system. Nope, sorry. You can't become an Elder in Fallout 4. The game's structure just doesn't allow for that kind of rank progression within the Brotherhood of Steel. Would've been cool though!
I wish! But sadly, Fallout 4 isn't set up for you to climb the ranks to Elder within the Brotherhood of Steel. Best you can do is pretend and dress the part.
