To BLJ (Backwards Long Jump) in Super Mario 64 with an Xbox controller, map your controls so you can long jump with ease. Then, face backwards, crouch, and start long jumping while mashing the jump button quickly. The timing can be tricky, so practice makes perfect!

First-hand tip: Map your Z-button to LT, then run towards the staircase, press LT to crouch, and spam A while pulling the stick backward. This should help you pull off the BLJ!

Just set your Z-button to the left trigger, then find some stairs, press Z to crouch, and rapidly press A while holding back on the stick. Boom, you're zooming backwards!

Map the C-buttons to the right stick and the Z-button to a shoulder button. Then, run up stairs, press the Z-button to crouch, and mash the A-button while holding the stick backwards. Enjoy the chaos!

Don't bother. It's almost impossible with an Xbox controller. Stick to the original N64 controller if you can.
