Simple. Go to the chat, tap their name at the top, scroll down and select 'Block Contact.' You got this!
From my experience, just go to Settings > Account > Privacy > Blocked Contacts > Add New. It works every time!
Easy peasy! Open the chat with the person, tap their name, scroll down, and hit 'Block Contact.' You're free now!
