How to Block a Person on Facebook
From personal experience, I've found it best to go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Blocking. Then, just add the name of the person you want to block. Works like a charm!

Easy peasy! Just go to their profile, click on the three dots (⋯), and select 'Block'. Confirm, and bam, they're blocked!
Use the search bar to find their profile, click the three dots next to the message button, and select 'Block'. Done and done!
Blocking people is overrated. Just unfollow if you must.
