You can block a profile by going to their profile, clicking the three dots on the cover photo, and selecting 'Block.'
Just visit their profile, click on the three dots (usually near the cover photo), and hit 'Block.' Done and dusted!
Trust me, I've had to block my share of annoying people! Go to their profile, find the three dots near their cover photo, click on it, and select 'Block.' That'll do the trick.
