You can adjust your privacy settings! Go to 'Settings & Privacy' > 'Settings' > 'Profile and Tagging,' and set the options you like for 'Who can post on your profile?' and 'Review posts you're tagged in before they appear.' It's super handy!
Trust me, once I set up the 'Review Tags' feature in the settings, my notifications got way less annoying!
