Just use LEGO blocks! Seriously, it's the quickest and most customizable option. Stack them up to create lanes for each car, and use a flat piece as a trigger that you can flip away to let the cars fly. It's easy to adjust for as many cars as you want to race.

I made one using popsicle sticks and rubber bands for tension. Worked like a charm and felt super satisfying to see my cars zoom off!

DIY start gates are a hassle. Just buy one; saves time and probably works better anyway.

Building a Hot Wheels start gate is actually easier than you might think! You just need some cardboard, a pair of scissors, and a bit of tape. Cut the cardboard into a strip long enough for your cars to line up side by side. Then, make small cuts to create tabs where your cars' rear wheels will rest. Bend these tabs down slightly so the cars are angled for a rapid start. Secure everything with tape and you're ready to race!
