Building a house in Animal Crossing starts with paying off your initial tent loan to Tom Nook. Once you've done that, chat with him at the Resident Services and he'll talk you through upgrading from a tent to a house. Just prepare your bells (in-game currency) because upgrading isn't free! After that, you can keep upgrading and customizing your house by paying off loans and talking to Tom Nook for more options.

Just talk to Tom Nook, dude. Pay your tent loan, then throw bells at him for a house upgrade. EZ.

Skip the house, live in a tent forever. #MinimalistLifestyle

I just got my house last week! Paid off my tent to Tom Nook, and he offered the house upgrade. It took a bunch of bells, but totally worth it. Decorating is the best part, so start saving up!

Honestly, building your first house in Animal Crossing is more about debt management than anything. Get those bells, pay off that tent, and Tom Nook will hook you up with a house upgrade. It鈥檚 like real life but with more fishing and less actual stress.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
