I built one using a YouTube tutorial as a guide. There're a bunch of videos out there that take you through the process step by step. Super helpful cause you can pause and replay parts you didn't get the first time around. Plus, seeing someone else do it first gives you a better idea of what pieces you'll need.
Just stack Legos in a box shape, leave a slot at the bottom, and boom, you've got a dispenser. No need to overcomplicate it!
