Just open your crafting book, select the stone wall, and start placing stones. Simple as that.
First, gather stones by picking them up from the ground. Then, open your crafting menu and select the stone wall blueprint. Place the blueprint where you want the wall, and start adding stones until it's complete. Voila, instant stone fortress!
Collect a bunch of stones, open your crafting menu, select the stone wall plan, and assemble it piece by piece.
