From my experience, the best way to get ores is by grinding and completing quests. No shortcut, just good old-fashioned effort!
Quick tip - you can't buy ores, just earn them from quests and bosses.
Unfortunately, Project Slayers doesn't have an option for buying ores with Yen. You'll need to earn them. Good luck!
