So, wanna save some cash or just feeling adventurous? You can buy Steam games in other currencies, but it's a bit of a walk on the wild side. First, using VPNs to spoof your location is a common tactic, although it's like playing cat and mouse with Steam's policies (they’re not fans, to put it lightly). Another less risky way is through gift cards in the currency you desire; sometimes you can snag these online. Lastly, got any friends overseas? You could ask them to gift you the game, and then you pay them back – it’s like international game smuggling, but legal.

Honestly, just use gift cards. I tried the VPN route once, and let's just say my account took a nice little 'vacation'. Not worth the panic.

Steam’s policy is pretty tight about this. They really don't want people jumping regions for cheaper games, 'cause of pricing fairness & legal issues. Honestly, sticking to your own currency might just save you a headache down the line.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
