I find the best way to get an alley oop is to hold the left trigger (L2/LT) and double-tap 'triangle' (PS) or 'Y' (Xbox). Try it out!

To call for an alley oop pass in NBA 2K, press the 'triangle' button (PS) or 'Y' button (Xbox) while moving towards the basket. Timing is everything, so make sure you're in a good position when you call for it!

Yo, just double-tap the 'triangle' (PS) or 'Y' (Xbox) when you're near the basket and your teammate's ready to throw it up.

Hot take: Skipping alley oops is underrated. Focus on mastering simple passes first.

If you're a NBA 2K player looking for extra VCs or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in  NBA 2K essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
