Just press MP+MK to start the Focus Attack and then quickly double tap forward or back. Boom, it's canceled!
Hold down the Medium Punch (MP) and Medium Kick (MK) to start a Focus Attack, then double tap a direction (forward or backward) to cancel it. It's all in the quick fingers!
Once you start a Focus Attack, just dash cancel it by hitting forward or back twice quickly. Easy peasy!
