Just quit trying. Literally, press pause, find a new session or quit to story mode, and boom, mission gone. It's like it never existed. Great for when you just can't deal with another fetch quest.
Easy peasy - just fail the mission three times in a row, and the game will offer you the chance to skip it. Alternatively, you can simply pause the game, go to the 'Game' tab, and select 'Load Game' to go back to a previous save before the mission started. Just make sure you've been keeping up with your saves!
Honestly? Failing a mission on purpose is a vibe. Just keep messing up till the game's like, 'You sure you wanna keep doing this?' and gives you the out. No shame, we've all been there.
