Canceling a Steam download is super easy! Just open your Steam client and head to the 'Downloads' section. You'll see a list of currently downloading games and updates. Find the one you wanna cancel, and there should be a 'CANCEL' button right next to the progress bar. Hit that, and bam! Download stopped.

I legit just hit the pause button and never bother finding it again. It's like canceling but with extra steps.

Actually, just pausing the download works pretty much the same. If you never resume, it's as good as canceled, right?

Another way is to completely remove the game from your download queue. Right-click the game that's downloading in your library list, select 'Manage downloads', and then you can hit 'Remove from queue'. Poof! It's like it was never there.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
