Capping your FPS in Apex Legends through Steam is pretty straightforward. First, you gotta enable the Steam overlay in-game. Then, right-click Apex Legends in your Library, go to 'Properties,' and under 'General,' click 'Set Launch Options.' Here, you type in '+fps_max XX' where 'XX' is the max FPS you want. So, if you're aiming for 60, you'd type '+fps_max 60'. Restart the game, and voila, you're all set!

Honestly, just set the FPS limit in the game settings. No need to mess around with Steam launch options. Easier and gets the job done.

Been playing Apex on Steam for ages, and the best way I found is using the '+fps_max' command in the launch options like the first guy said. Super reliable and lets you customize exactly how many frames you wanna cap at. Also, a great way to keep your PC from working too hard if it's not the beefiest rig out there.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
