You can capture ships in Starfield by first disabling them during space combat. Once you've damaged a ship enough, the enemy crew might surrender. Just make sure you board the disabled ship quickly, eliminate any remaining threats, and claim it as yours! Trust me, nothing beats the thrill of adding a badass new ship to your collection!

I've snagged a couple of ships myself. Target the engines, wait for the surrender cue, then board and do your thing!

If you've got good aim, disable the engines during combat to make boarding easier. Then, it's yours for the taking!
