First, grab the Simaris scanner from Cephalon Simaris at any relay. Equip the scanner in your gear wheel, and load up the mission with the synthesis target. Use your scanner to follow the glowing blue tracks. When you find the target, scan all the highlighted points to capture them. Boom, done!

Get the synthesis scanner from Cephalon Simaris, find the mission with the target, and scan the glowing spots on the target. Easy peasy.

Don't forget to equip some traps from Simaris! They make capturing the target way easier by holding it in place while you scan.

You don't need Simaris traps. Just be quick and precise with the scanning, and you'll capture your target without a hitch.
