To cast Petrificus Totalus in Hogwarts Legacy on the Switch, just aim at your target, then press and hold the right trigger (ZR). Make sure you've already learned the spell in the game, or you won't be able to pull it off. Sneak up on enemies for a better chance of landing it without getting noticed.

Honestly, just sneak up behind them and ZR. If you've got the spell, it's a one-button wonder.

Casting spells in video games always confuses me, but with Hogwarts Legacy, it was surprisingly simple. Once I learned Petrificus Totalus in-game, executing it was just a matter of targeting and holding down the right button. Took down my first unaware dark wizard in the Forbidden Forest, and it felt EPIC.

If you're a Hogwarts Legacy player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
