Catching an arapaima in Animal Crossing isn't as tough as it sounds! First, make sure you're fishing during the right months - these big guys only show up from June to September in the Northern Hemisphere and from December to March in the Southern Hemisphere. Look for them in the river, and remember, they're more likely to spawn in the evening to early morning. Use fish bait to increase your chances, and keep an eye out for a huge shadow in the water - that's your cue! Cast your line and get ready for a bit of a struggle; these fish don't give up easily.

Just spam fish bait in the river during summer evenings. Big shadow equals big fish. Good luck!

The arapaima's overrated. Go catch yourself a stringfish; now that's a challenge worth bragging about.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
