Catching a female Thestral in Hogwarts Legacy isn't exactly straightforward since you can't 'catch' creatures like in some games. But, to interact with a Thestral, you first need to progress in the story until you unlock the ability to see Thestrals, which comes from experiencing death in the game's narrative. Once you've unlocked this ability, finding Thestrals, including female ones, can typically be done in the Forbidden Forest or near the outskirts of Hogwarts. Remember, it's more about the story progression and less about a specific technique to 'catch' one.

lol you can't just toss a Poké Ball at a Thestral, this ain't Pokémon. Gotta play through the story and get the right 'vision' to even see them. Then you can find Thestrals hanging around, just enjoy their majestic presence!

If you're a Hogwarts Legacy player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
