Catching a football fish in Animal Crossing is pretty straightforward but requires patience. You'll want to fish in the ocean during the evening or night because that's when these guys like to swim around. Make sure it's between November and March if you're in the Northern Hemisphere, or May to September if you're chillin' in the Southern Hemisphere. Keep an eye out for a medium-sized fish shadow in the water. Cast your line and wait for the bite. With a bit of luck, you'll reel in a football fish. Happy fishing!

Honestly, I spent hours trying to get one. Ended up catching mine randomly while fishing for something else. Make sure it's nighttime and you're in the right month, then just keep casting. They'll show up eventually. Good luck!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
