Catching a Great White Shark in Animal Crossing isn't as scary as it sounds, but it does require a bit of patience! First, make sure you're fishing during the summer months (June to September in the Northern Hemisphere, and December to March in the Southern Hemisphere) because that's when these toothy fishies like to visit. You'll want to keep an eye out for a large shadow with a fin sticking out of the water; that's your cue a shark is nearby. Then, get your fishing rod ready, wait for the shark to bite (you'll see the bobber dip), and press 'A' to reel it in. Timing is crucial; too early or too late, and it'll get away. And remember, stay calm; you got this!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
