Catching a mosquito in Animal Crossing isn't too tough once you know what you're looking for. First, these annoying critters only show up during certain months, typically from June to September in the Northern Hemisphere. You'll find them buzzing around after 5 PM. You don't need to use any bait or special tricks; just equip your trusty bug net and swing it when one gets close enough. They're small and can be a bit of a challenge to spot, but you'll hear them! Listen for their buzzing as the first clue they're nearby.

Just swing wildly with your net. Worked for me. Mosquitoes are more annoying than they are elusive.

I've been playing for months and never intentionally caught one; they just kinda run into me. So, maybe just hang around outside and they'll come to you? It's less about catching and more about a happy accident.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
