Catching a sea butterfly in Animal Crossing is super fun and a bit of a patience game. First, make sure you're fishing during the right months - December through March in the Northern Hemisphere and June through September in the Southern Hemisphere. These little beauties prefer colder water! Then, grab your fishing rod and look for the smallest shadow in the ocean. Those tiny shadows can be tricky to spot, but that's where you'll find your sea butterfly. Remember, it's all about timing; you'll want to cast your line as soon as the shadow approaches. Happy fishing!

Honestly, it's mostly luck. I spent hours looking for mine, and when I finally wasn't paying attention, I caught it. Keep your eyes peeled for small shadows and don't give up!

Just look for the tiniest shadow in the water and fish there. Sea butterflies are tiny!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
