Catching a vampire squid in Animal Crossing is a bit tricky but super rewarding! First, make sure it's between May and August (in the Northern Hemisphere) or November to February (in the Southern Hemisphere) because that's when they appear. You'll want to fish in the ocean at night from 9 PM to 4 AM. Look for a large shadow with a fin; this could also be a shark, so it's a bit of a gamble. When you see it, cast your line and get ready for a tough catch; these squids are a bit harder to reel in than your average fish!

Honestly, vampire squids are overrated. Spend your time fishing for sharks instead. Much cooler catch.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
