Catching animals in Terraria is super fun and pretty straightforward! First, you gotta craft or find a Bug Net. You can buy one from the Merchant NPC for 25 silver coins. Once you have it, just swing it at any critters you find hopping or flying around. Bugs, butterflies, snails, and even some aquatic animals can be caught this way. Just make sure you're quick and aim well!

Don't forget, some animals require different approaches. For example, to catch birds, you might need to sneak up on them since they fly away if you get too close. It's all about the timing and having that Bug Net ready. I remember spending hours just trying to catch those darn goldfish and butterflies for my terrariums. It's addicting!

Pro tip: Use the Bug Net on worms that appear when you break rocks or cut grass. Easy bait for fishing!
